Lee Mingwei
Lee Mingwei was born in Taiwan and currently lives and works in New York City. Lee has continually focused on themes of trust and self-awareness in projects that create a potential for active exchange. Intrigued by the parallels between art-making and prognostication—both of which draw on observation and intuition to reveal possibilities—Lee creates projects that test the limits of when and where such transformative experiences may take place, and has sensitively framed aspects of everyday life into experiences of potential discovery and renewal. Recent exhibitions include Lee Mingwei and His Relations, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo; The Moving Garden, Brooklyn Museum of Art; Quartet Project, Albion Gallery, London.
